On your DVC show you spoke about “Deluxe accommodations”
Valid points about Deluxe “Adjacent”. Potential buyers have to realize it is a timeshare not a deluxe hotel. At a Deluxe Hotel the rates continue to rise to pay for more frequent upkeep and maintenance. So carpets and furnishings are replaced and updated more frequently at a hotel. When they replace and gut the DVC rooms you are paying for that with your annual dues. I purchased BWV in back in 99, at a point cost that is a fraction of what points cost today. I could not have afforded a suite at a hotel back at that point. I definitely couldn’t afford one now with the prices of hotel rooms now. I do agree there is a difference but you need to compare DVC to other timeshares.
For potential buyers I believe many (not all) buyers are Value or Moderate hotel users, who dream about staying at a Deluxe Hotel. They obviously will see a huge difference in not only the resorts but also in accommodations and resort services, pools, lobby, restaurants etc..
On the show there was talk about using pool towels for the room, in one word NO. There is no reason to. Your towels are changed out. Trash and Towel Service is Day 4 if you are staying 8 or more days they will do a full cleaning on day 4. (See below from Disney Website AKL Jambo House)
Trash & Towel Service
For stays of 7 nights or fewer, Trash & Towel Service is provided on day 4, regardless of whether you’re staying on a Member-discounted cash reservation, Vacation Points reservation, or a combination of both.
With Trash & Towel Service, Housekeeping will:
Empty trash and replace liners in trash bins
Provide fresh bathroom linens
Replace bath amenities as needed
Replenish facial tissues, paper towels and toilet paper
Replenish coffee, sugar, cream and sweeteners
Full-Cleaning Service
For stays of 8 or more nights, Full-Cleaning Service is provided on day 4 and Trash & Towel Service is provided on day 8, regardless of whether you’re staying on a Member-discounted cash reservation, Vacation Points reservation, or a combination of both. This cycle repeats for stays longer than 8 days.
