If there is one thing that I look forward to during the holiday season, it is all the yummy treats, sweets, and eats associated with this time of year. That’s why I decided it would be fun to take a look at a few holiday items I am excited to try in and around the Disney Vacation Club Resorts during this time of year!
Holiday Sandwich – Earl of Sandwich
Although offered year-round, the Holiday Turkey Sandwich from Earl of Sandwich in Disney Springs is a must-have item during this time of year. Being just a short walk or boat ride from Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, this sandwich makes for a great lunch, dinner, or afternoon snack to share with a friend. It includes turkey, cornbread stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, and mayonnaise on freshly-toasted artisan bread.
Also being offered at Earl’s last year was a special Holiday Ham Sandwich, which included ham, cheddar, yams, and cranberry sauce on freshly-toasted artisan bread. I am unsure at the time of writing this whether the ham sandwich will be brought back this year, but if it is and you are extra hungry, get both!

Holiday Cookies and Snacks
One unique aspect of many of the Disney Vacation Club Resorts are the over the top holiday displays and decorations that are set up to celebrate this festive time of year. From the gingerbread carousel at Disney’s Beach Club Villas, to the Grand Gingerbread House at Disney’s Grand Californian, there is something special to see (and eat) at almost every DVC property.
I am personally excited to try some sort of cookie or holiday snack at each resort and am planning extra room in my luggage to bring some back home as well! A few items that I am especially hungry for include the Gingerbread Shingle with Chocolate from the Grand Floridian, the Jumbo Coconut Macaroon at the BoardWalk, and the Spiced Moose Cookie from Wilderness Lodge.

Epcot International Festival of the Holidays
Just a short walk from both the Beach Club and BoardWalk Villas sits my favorite snacking opportunity of the holiday season, the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. Like other festivals offered throughout the year at Epcot, guests can casually walk the World Showcase while sampling various sweet and savory seasonal favorites from around the globe.
Some noteworthy festival snacks Amy and I are looking forward to include the slow-roasted turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce, as well as the hand-carved smoked ham with green beans and sweet potato casserole. Both of these dishes, located at the American Holiday Table booth, are reminiscent of our holiday family gatherings. At the Tuscany Holiday Kitchen, the Collezione Barilla, which is penne pasta with sweet sausage, caramelized onions, and a creamy sauce, also looks particularly appealing. Regardless of your taste and preferences, it appears there is something for everyone at Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays.
Whatever you taste may be, one thing for certain is that you are guaranteed to find something for you around or near a Disney Vacation Club property during the holiday season. Share with us in the comments below what snacks and Disney treats you enjoy getting this time of year, or if you can’t make it to the magic, one of your personal favorites to snack on at home during the holidays!
