Amy and I are new Orlando, Florida residents where we live with our dogs Odie the greyhound and Hermès the Spanish galgo. We are DVC owners at Animal Kingdom Lodge, BoardWalk Villas, Grand Californian, Grand Floridian, and Polynesian, Disney World Annual Passholders, and love educating Disney Vacation Club members on how to both use and maximize the value of their DVC points!

  • BCV is somewhat overrated. We own there for the location not for the pool. We have actually never eaten at Cape May preferring to slip into Epcot for dinner.

The Polynesian was our resort of choice prior to becoming DVC members. My biggest problem with the Poly is that DVD built twice as many bungalows as they should have; the views of MK are marred. The new lobby is starting to grow on me, especially since I can always find a seat.

I liked breakfast at Topolino’s. No too pricey compared to other resort breakfast locations.

BLT was the third resort we bought into. My first impression of the room was upscale IKEA. The location and the extra full bath in 1&2 bdrm has sold me.

  • Animal Kingdom is the best if you have younger kids. Their eyes light up in the morning when they walk outside to see a zebra or gazelle right below your porch. Nowhere else on the property do you have this. Now a standard view here or at any resort ( Boardwalk, Saratoga, Bay Lake ) to me, are a total waste. This from a 29 year DVC member who enjoys relaxing in my room as much as being out and about at WDW.
