Today the panel discusses Disney’s Vero Beach Resort! Fiasco just returned from a short trip and he’s going to tell you all about it – as well Derek, Marissa, and Rob all share their experiences from trips!

We love Vero Beach! It’s great to have a split stay with WDW or with a cruise because it gives you a chance to totally relax after being in the theme parks, etc. In your discussion, you failed to mention the pool, pool slide, or 9 hole miniature golf course (next to the pool). The pool slide is great and very tall which gives great ocean views at the top. There is also a tradition of pool slide races – very fun to watch all the participants (young and not so young) try to have the fastest time coming down the slide! People make up names for this event such as Sunburn Girl or Flynn Slider, etc. Those watching cheer them on, giving a sense of community that you don’t really experience at the WDW resorts.
Something else that wasn’t mentioned in the discussion is the unique history of the area such as pirates, treasure, Dodgers baseball, and citrus groves. All of these are incorporated in the theming in subtle ways. If you visit this resort, be sure to look at the pictures located in the hallway toward the spa for more information. At WDW, Disney controlled the theming and environment of each resort; but at Hilton Head and Vero, they placed Disney resorts in lovely spots while staying true to the local culture and environment of their respective locations. This is what gives Hilton Head and Vero their own special charm!
Vero Beach certainly needs to improve their food quality; but aside from that, it is just a great relaxing getaway!
I own at Vero. Intended to buy SSR or OKW. But then the rare subsidized Vero contract came up. I have used it at Vero, HH and at WDW I used it at Kidani, BLT and BC. The subsidized dues made the contract a steal. I’ll never give it up. Vero was so enjoyable and I plan to return again in 2022 (I went in 2019). Stayed 5 nights. Loved it. Many great activities for the kids
