I was surprised that no one called out CCV Cabins. We managed to get a two night stay in a cabin and spent most of our time in the cabin. With the exception of AUL, the other top choices tended to be more point friendly. I think an implicit criteria in the resort choices is the number of nights your points can buy.
Ok, I’ll be your dissenting voice about the Boardwalk. The one time I stayed there, the cast members were terrible. It felt like they were all in training, and if they could make a mistake, they did. Parking was tough. The pool is poor, even if it’s no longer creepy. And the room was meh. Granted, it was before the refurbishment, but our stay was so bad there. The only benefit was that we were there for Star Wars Weekend, and we were slightly closer to DHS from Boardwalk than from our home resort at the Beach Club, which we appreciated at 4 am, when we got up to get in line for SWW. But Beach Club has it all over the Boardwalk for us. Give me Stormalong Bay and the secret path to Epcot and cast members who know what they’re doing. And Beaches & Cream. Give me a No Way Jose.
But I agree 100% about Aulani. It is simply the best. Can’t wait until we get to stay there again.
