Amy and I are new Orlando, Florida residents where we live with our dogs Odie the greyhound and Hermès the Spanish galgo. We are DVC owners at Animal Kingdom Lodge, BoardWalk Villas, and Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian, Disney World Annual Passholders, and love educating Disney Vacation Club on how to both use and maximize the value of their DVC points!

  • Our worst dining experience was at Coral Reef in Epcot. This occurred in 2010, and was bad enough for us not have gone back since.

  • As a happy Beach Club owner, I knew this show would devote a lot of time to our less than adequate restaurants. Thank God we are right outside the International Gateway, so eating at home really is an option, not a necessity.

On to the specifics: first, thank you for defending Beaches & Cream, Pete. We love Beaches & Cream, too. I don’t care what Corey says, no other ice cream sundae on property beats the No Way Jose. By the way, have any of you been there since they reopened in the larger space? The floor is no longer sticky.

About the Marketplace, I couldn’t agree more. You know, once upon a time, they used to serve gelato at the Marketplace, which was a redeeming grace, but those days are long gone. Again, thank God we’re outside the International Gateway.

And Cape May? these 2 words come to mind: overpriced and disgusting. The last word also describes what it’s like to watch the table next to you pile seafood on their plates up to the chandeliers and then dig in to eat. It’s a stomach-turning experience reminiscent of Monty Python’s Meaning of Life. Ew.

Again, with the strong exception of Beaches & Cream, which we find a pleasure to visit every trip, thank God we are right outside the International Gateway. Also now the Skyway. We have great food nearby, just not at home, so we usually eat out.

    Bon appetit!
