As we get closer to summer vacations, it’s always fun to dream about what we can do on upcoming trips.  If you’re still waiting for annual passes to become available again, or you are simply looking for something new to do on your resort days, here are a few activities that have recently returned to DVC resorts:

Disney Vacation Club Enchantment Fireworks Cruise

As of April 27, DVC members can book a cruise along the Seven Seas Lagoon to see the Disney Enchantment fireworks show as well as the Electrical Water Pageant.  Cruises take place on Wednesdays and depart from the Boat Nook at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.  The cost is $85 per person and includes a champagne toast and a treat box.  Guests will be with other travel parties with a maximum of 10 people on each of the two boats offered.  To book this cruise, members should call Member Services.  This is considered a membership extra for eligible DVC members.

Starlight Safari

Head over to Kidani Village to board an open-safari vehicle for an evening expedition in search of zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and more!  Guests are given a night vision device to better spot some of the African wildlife in the savannas of Animal Kingdom Lodge. The one-hour safari is for guests ages 8 and up, and the cost is $89 per person.

Wonders of the Lodge Art & Architecture Tour

Lobby of Wilderness Lodge

At 9am each day, meet by the fireplace in the lobby of Wilderness Lodge to embark on a one-hour walking tour of the resort. The tour delves into the architecture, theming, art, and artifacts of the lodge. This activity is free of charge.

Wild About Painting

Feeling inspired by the beauty of Jambo House?  Register for the Wild About Painting class where you can paint your own work of art at Jiko – The Cooking Place.  The event takes place on Wednesdays from 1pm to 3pm, and registration opens at 12:45pm.  You can also register in advance by emailing WDW.DAKL.Recreation.Reservations@disney.com. The class is $35 per person and recommended for guests ages 12 and up.

Before your next resort day, be sure to also check out the Monthly Resort Recreation Calendar thread on the DISboards to get the latest info on resort activities or the DVC website for for events and experiences that are membership extras. Offerings are always subject to change.
