Each year, MICHELIN publishes its well-renowned guides that rate over 30,000 restaurants in 3 continents. For 2022, MICHELIN released the inaugural MICHELIN Guide Miami, Orlando, and Tampa, and two fan-favorites from among the DVC resorts have made the short list of recommended restaurants: California Grill and Citricos.
California Grill, located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, currently offers a special prix-fixe menu in celebration of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary in lieu of its normal à la carte menu. Citricos, located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, was recently reimagined with a Mary Poppins Returns decor and now features Florida cuisine with a Mediterranean influence. In addition to its à la carte menu, Citricos offers the 9-course Sommelier Room dining experience.

If you are staying at Saratoga Springs or Old Key West, you will be close to two Disney Springs restaurants that were also recommended by the 2022 MICHELIN Guide, Morimoto Asia and Polite Pig. Led by Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, Morimoto Asia is a signature restaurant that features gourmet Pan-Asian cuisine, including the Omakase Experience with 5 to 7 courses specially crafted by the restaurant’s expert sushi chefs. Polite Pig is a quick service restaurant offering a modern take on barbecue and a bourbon bar. It is the sister restaurant of the Winter Park gastropub Ravenous Pig, which earned the MICHELIN Guide’s Bib Gourmand distinction.
It will be interesting to see next year’s MICHELIN Guide Miami, Orlando, and Tampa since there is one glaring omission, Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, which was not open when the 2022 guide was released. With its AAA Five Diamond rating, Victoria & Albert’s is one fine dining establishment that is nearly certain to be in the running for a coveted MICHELIN star in the future.
