Disney Vacation Club Enhances Member Online Security with Two-Factor Verification

Disney Vacation Club has announced that it will be reintroducing a two-factor verification process to enhance the online security of its Members when accessing loan information.

This major system update comes after months of development and delay and aims to provide an additional layer of protection against unauthorized access, particularly for members accessing their loan information on the club’s official website.

Starting May 24, DVC members who log into their loan information on DisneyVacationClub.com will be asked to confirm their identity via an access code. This code will be sent to either the email address or mobile phone number associated with their Disney OneID account. Disney OneID is the account used across all Disney platforms.

To ensure a smooth transition, members are urged to verify and update their email address and phone number on their Disney OneID profile before May 24. This can be done by clicking on the “My DVC” menu, selecting “My Profile” from the drop-down menu, and then choosing “Account Settings” in the middle of the webpage.

In another significant shift, DVC members will now need to call Member Services at 800-800-9800 to reset their passwords. The previous option to reset passwords online through self-service tools will be discontinued.

Disney Vacation Club initially attempted to introduce two-factor verification in November 2022, but quickly backtracked on the process after multiple members reported that the new process actually would allow you to bypass the password process and access your account by two-factor authentication only.

DVC members can learn more about the two-factor verification process and how to update their Disney OneID profiles on the Disney Vacation Club’s website.

  • Paul.
If I have a Disney Id and password that I use across all Disney platforms ( DVC WDW app ESPN Disney+, etc) wouldn’t I just be able to change my password on my Disney+ account or another platform option which would then change my DVC password allowing me to bypass calling member services altogether. The you must call member services to change your password seems odd if using 1 ID and password across all platforms.
