Earlier today, in an update to pricing documents on Disney Vacation Club’s website, new incentives for Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort were quietly announced!
Historically, DVC has only promoted sales for their current selling resorts (Riviera and Aulani); however, we’ve recently seen a trend to highlight opportunities at specific sold-out Disney Vacation Club properties. During the 2021 holiday season, we previously saw an incentive announced during the holiday season for Disney’s BoardWalk Villas.
Member Add-On Savings
Current Disney Vacation Club Members looking to add-on points at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort are eligible for the following savings:

New Members are also receiving some significant savings if they purchase this previously sold-out Disney Vacation Club property:

At its current direct price of $245 per point, this brings a Bay Lake Tower add-on purchase of 200 to 249 vacation points down to $202 per point. This is an incredible savings for a direct purchase but still comes in above average resale prices for the resort.
Based on sales data provided by DVC Resale Market for January 2022, new and existing members could purchase points at Bay Lake Tower for an average of $169 per point. This accounts for a $33 per point savings as compared to a direct purchase.

February 3, 2022If DVC management were wise, the larger discount should be for existing members who are the most loyal Disney guests as opposed to new members. Instead they flipped it. At least have the discount consistent between the two groups.
