New information has been released about The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, which are set to open in Summer 2024. A recent email sent to all Disney Vacation Club Members provided a detailed look at what promises to be a fantastic addition to Walt Disney World. Let’s take a look at what exciting things are in store at this new DVC Resort!
A Closer Look at the Concept Art and Room Details – Fort Wilderness Cabins
The newly unveiled concept art for The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort provides our first glimpse of the main bedroom area. It includes two bunk beds and showcases plenty of Chip and Dale-themed artwork throughout the room, including a delightful mural on the wall above the bunk beds.
Each cabin, set amid the beauty of the great outdoors, can sleep up to six guests, and some are even dog-friendly! As you step through the sconce-flanked front doors, you’ll find a spacious living area featuring a dining nook and a fully equipped kitchen. This includes a refrigerator, dishwasher, convection/microwave oven, and two countertop burners.

The bathroom area features a vanity outside the entrance, with another vanity and shower inside. Across from the kitchen, there’s a convertible seating and sleeping area with a 65-inch TV and a comfortable sofa. This space can easily be transformed into a queen-size Inova bed, providing additional sleeping space.
The separate bedroom offers a queen-size bed, twin-size bunk beds, a 55-inch TV, a closet, and a nightstand. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow for plenty of natural light, and each cabin has its own personal patio deck. Here, guests can enjoy the charm of nature while using the charcoal grill and dining al fresco.
Amenities and Dining Options
The main living area features a pull-down Murphy Bed, confirming that these new DVC cabins will continue to sleep six guests, similar to the current Fort Wilderness cabins. The images also reveal some common recent amenities added to DVC Villas, such as “Hey, Disney!” and a Keurig Duo Coffee Pot. However, there was no mention of a washer/dryer in the cabins, which may be a point of concern for some members.
Fans of Disney dining will be thrilled to hear about a new quick-service restaurant coming soon to Disney’s Fort Wilderness – the “Trail’s End Marketplace”. Recent visitors to Hoop-Dee-Doo may have noticed a new building under construction, which is speculated to house this new dining option.
