January 29, 2024So Paul….you brought it up with the 2042 beach club etc resorts…….”they’re going to extend our ownership and we are going to own longer…I can guarantee you, that’s…that’s…that’s not what Disney does”
So..can you please have the discussion…obviously cannot expect a definitive statement of what DIsney is going to do but can the panel discuss what they feel the reasonable options are that Disney may pursue..for the 2042 resorts (or even some unreasonable ones)…offer extensions…. vs. let them all run into the ground and then resell contracts from scratch at massive price for Beach Club…in today’s dollars what would they ask for a full new Beach Club contract…..let them run into the ground and resell from the trust…if they run them into the ground and have to resell does that leave them with a period of time where they have less than full income from dues to cover insurance and grounds costs..(Beach Club would likely sell fast but fast enough that they would tolerate the loss of full dues coming in for some period of time?)
there are probably variations in between those options that we may not be aware of that people of your experience can bring up?…or is this a slam dunk they are going to run them into the ground and sell at a mega premium for another j40 year round?
Spoke to a long term resale guide and long term direct Disney guide before that about Beach Club resale options and implications that we would have for our current points. She felt very strongly that it would be in DIsney’s interest to offer extension at some point…
