April 29, 2024Agree with everything!! I just put in and they accepted a 340pt contract for $150pt! I think it’s a good deal, but I don’t know. I am getting it from DVC Rental and using Monera for my financing! Hoping it passes and I get it!!

April 29, 2024We bought our first VGF contract sight unseen on a DCL cruise. Even at the high 2014 price of $165pp, we would still save money on our ~yearly WDW visits (made the mistake of taking our first WDW vacation at Polynesian — once you’ve done deluxe you can’t go back). Buying direct they arranged that day for Disney financing and loaded the points immediately.
NOTE: We used Disney financing for ease of transaction. When we got home we did multiple transactions with our SW credit card to pay off the Disney loan and the credit card before interest accrued. We got enough reward points to earn a companion pass on SouthWest. Something you cannot do buying resale.
10 years and 4 resale contracts later, we still save on WDW vacations but we don’t spend less we go more often. That is where the one direct contract comes in handy, for discount annual passes.

I have been a DVC member since November 1991 with my first contract bought direct. Our second contract was bought with Andy’s help at DVC Rental/Resale May 2023. We check the listings just about everyday just in case another great deal surfaces. It is very evident that the five (5) of you are great friends and share a love of Disney.
