Disney Vacation Club has officially started filing amendments to include the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows in the existing Polynesian DVC Condo Association. This first filing with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Development is just the beginning of what promises to be many amendments leading up to the resort going on sale later this summer.

The amendment adds a whopping 11,322 available timeshare weeks to Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. Now, before we get too ahead of ourselves, it’s important to note that this is not a declaration of units or points—that will come at a later time. But for those who have been skeptical, this is tangible evidence that Disney is indeed including the Island Tower in the existing association. This means existing owners, as well as those who have purchased via DVC Resale, will be able to access the rooms at this new tower as part of their 7-11 Month Home Resort Booking Window.
To all the conspiracy theorists out there, let’s put this debate to rest. This amendment is solid proof of Disney’s commitment to integrating the Island Tower with the existing association, a move that benefits us all. As someone who literally can’t read another debate on this subject without pounding my head against a wall, I’m urging everyone to lay down the pitchforks and close the book on what has been one of the most hotly debated topics in DVC history. This isn’t about who was right or wrong; it’s about celebrating a great victory for all Disney Vacation Club owners.
We now have an exciting new addition to the DVC family that we will all benefit from and enjoy, free from restrictions and trust issues. Let’s come together and rejoice in this fantastic news—even though I know some of you might still have your reservations and I’m certain will continue to keep me entertained on the interwebs.
Stay tuned to DVCFan.com for more details and information on the new Polynesian Island Tower in the coming weeks and months leading up to its December opening!

May 25, 2024Hallelujah! Finally tangible evidence for those who persist in keeping the rumor mill churning. Dare I say that there are those who will continue to question or find something in this article that is not quite as clear as it should be. I for one…am thrilled as we own the bulk of our points (direct and resale combined) at The Polynesian. My hope is that this is the 1st step in our journey to be able to book on points in the very near future because I plan to book something….I don’t know what and I don’t know for when…but I will book something. Thank you and Amy for all that you do for us who love DVC.
