Overview
Adjacent to the main building of Wilderness Lodge, you’ll find Boulder Ridge Villas, formerly known as the Villas at Wilderness Lodge. From the Carolwood Pacific Room in the lobby that pays homage to Walt Disney’s love of trains to the quiet seating areas, you’ll easily see why this rustic resort is such a special place. Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge opened in 2000, and DVC contracts there end on January 31, 2042.
The villas were last renovated in 2023 with a full hard-goods refurbishment.

What DVC Fans Have to Say about Boulder Ridge
Pros
Geyser Point! (Can we count that one 2x?); WL [Wilderness Lodge] lobby; 2 awesome pools and a splash area, the BRV [Boulder Ridge Villas] pool and spa are awesome, the pool is relaxing, and the zero entry area is great for little kids, but if you decide you want a bit more atmosphere the main pool is tons of fun, and the splash area very well thought out; the lake views and overall resort theming transport you to a different place, you can almost forget you are at WDW, have a super relaxing break from the parks, then hop on the boat back to MK [Magic Kingdom] for fireworks and be there within 20 min; for BRV specifically, I think the room views are nicer, you definitely get more of a relaxing and nature vibe at BRV than you do at CCV [Copper Creek Villas], and finally, being smaller and detached from WL makes BRV feel less like a hotel, the atmosphere is just more peaceful and comfortable. –Vanessa B.
Ambiance, especially at Christmas, boat to MK [Magic Kingdom] (often times better than the monorail), good dining options, Old Faithful, love the single building, quiet lobby. No cons for us except needing the refurb. It’s our favorite. If we knew more about the purchasing process when we bought, it would be our home resort. –Dawn P.
Very quiet and peaceful, Bay Lake views, spectacular grounds, pool and dining. Christmas decorations unmatched vs other DVC resorts, BRV [Boulder Ridge Villas] villas close to bus stop, Carolwood Pacific room nicest lobby annex of any DVC resort. Has studios, 1 and 2 bedrooms. –Rich F.
Close to MK [Magic Kingdom] yet just far enough away that you escape the hustle and bustle and can really just relax and chill out. Major pro: the boat to MK. Beautiful resort! I get all the feels staying there. Geyser Point is amazing. Territory Lounge is a hidden gem. Whispering Canyon and Artist Point are great restaurants. –Renee L.
Homey theming, quiet, beautiful grounds, close to [Magic Kingdom]. –Leslie M.
Cons
Resort in pristine condition, BRV [Boulder Ridge Villas] rooms are not. Studios hard to snag in Nov and Dec even at 11 months for owners. –Rich F.
Cons are that it feels like The Shining when walking down the halls to the rooms. The bathroom light turns on like those crackly lights in an interrogation room. Pull out sofa not too comfortable for my 14 year old who sleeps on the floor with no complaints. We are hoping to add points there with fingers crossed that the refurb happens sooner rather than later. –Christy C.
REFURB!, 2042 Deed, High point charts considering the state of the rooms. –Connor K.
BRV [Boulder Ridge Villas] desperately needs that refurb (seriously, what’s going on with that?); you need to take a bus to 3/4 parks, it really would be amazing to have a monorail stop at WL [Wilderness Lodge]. –Vanessa B.
BRV [Boulder Ridge Villas] rooms need refurb. Need to change out the pull out sofa to a murphy. The dumpster view rooms. That BRV & CCV [Copper Creek Villas] aren’t in the same association, but I can understand why as BRV contract length was just too short to add CCV to. –Jennifer L.
