Just a few short weeks after learning of its existance, the walls have officially come down at EPCOT’s Canada Pavilion, and the brand-new Disney Vacation Club Welcome Home Center—Château de Voyage—is now open and welcoming guests!
This cozy new space marks the first in-park Welcome Home Center for Disney Vacation Club, giving both prospective and current Members a chance to explore Membership in a whole new setting—right in the heart of World Showcase. Huge thanks to Jennifer Herrick for capturing some of the first photos of the space!
First Impressions: What to Expect
From the outside, Château de Voyage keeps things simple. A small, understated plaque next to the door reads “Disney Vacation Club Welcome Home Center,” accompanied by a check-in-style podium you’d find in other guest service areas across the parks. While it might not scream “showstopper” from the exterior, stepping inside paints a more charming picture.

The entry room is themed like a rustic Canadian lodge, complete with dark wood paneling, cozy lounge-style chairs, and even a classic train set display that ties into the atmosphere. This area isn’t a Member lounge—there’s no soda fountains or quiet workspaces—but it is a comfortable space to sit, chat with a guide, and learn more about Membership (with a few light snacks, too!).

Upstairs, guests can walk through a model villa of the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. The walkthrough is relaxed and informal—first guests were able to check it out after a brief five-minute wait, and there was no pressure from guides during the visit. While that’s the current experience, we don’t expect the ease of walk-ins to last forever. As awareness grows, it’s likely that appointments will be required in the future, especially during busier EPCOT days.
A Smart Use of Space
For anyone disappointed that this area was repurposed for DVC, it’s worth noting that it hadn’t been used as a retail location for quite some time. More recently, it served primarily as storage. Bringing it back to life as a guest-facing space feels like a smart and useful move—especially with the immersive theming and new model villa on display.
Could a Lounge Be in the Future?
There’s also speculation about the future of DVC spaces in EPCOT. If Disney eventually decides to close or refurbish the existing DVC Member Lounge in the Imagination Pavilion, Château de Voyage could potentially be expanded or upgraded to serve as both a Welcome Center and a Member Lounge. That’s not confirmed, of course—but the theming, location, and setup make it an intriguing possibility.
We’re excited to spend more time exploring this new space on our next trip to EPCOT. Whether you’re looking to learn more about Disney Vacation Club or just want to peek inside the future of Island Tower accommodations, Château de Voyage is worth a visit. Thanks again to Jennifer and her son, Andrew, for sharing these photos!
Stay tuned to DVCFan.com for more updates, walkthrough videos, and in-depth looks inside the model villa soon!

April 18, 2025It was better closed than used as a DVC space. It’s an affront to the World Showcase and EPCOT.
Embarrassing by Disney, really.

April 18, 2025Agree, this is a smack in the face to something that is suppose to represent Canada and its working cast members. This should be called the Disney Greed Lounge. Its pathetic. heaven forbid they had actually turned this into something about Canada, because that would have made too much sense. Disney doesn’t do any of this right anymore. I would rather it had stayed closed. It just wrong in so many ways and Epcot continues to get the bad end deals. Horrible management and choices being made.

April 18, 2025Just visited it today. Nice to see what a room looks like. But should NOT be in EPCOT. Please repurpose it as a DVC lounge. It is out of the way an offers another place to rest up.
