The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort is an experience that combines the magic of Disney with a chic dining venue. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a beautifully decorated space, perfect for capturing Instagram-worthy photos, especially during special occasions. Each room exudes a clean, crisp, and pristine atmosphere, setting the stage for a beautiful dining experience. But is it worth the price?
Highlights:
Our server, Cam, was exceptionally patient and friendly, enhancing our overall experience. A standout from the cocktail menu was their seasonal Autumn Sangria which was an apple cider and Moscato blend with spiced apples, pears, oranges, and cinnamon—arguably one of the best cocktails I’ve tasted. The Chicken Salad Croissant stood out with a perfect, flaky croissant and a burst of flavors. Paired with a fresh arugula salad, it left a lasting impression. The desserts were not just visually delightful, each bite was a treat; the Pumpkin Chocolate Cake was enough to satisfy two or more people. The Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse Pie was decadently rich.
Paul’s choice, the lemon bar, was a hit, and David’s roasted salmon was expertly prepared, he substituted some of the sides and decided on fries and a tasty side of broccoli that surprised us with its robust flavor.
However, the high prices at Cake Bake Shop did not always correlate with quality. For instance, the French Onion Soup failed to impress with its tepid temperature and small portion size, and the turkey gruyere sandwich was disappointingly bland. In addition, the tea service shared the same woes as the soup, lukewarm temperature that lost any semblance of a hot beverage quickly and meager in portion size.

Overall Impression:
Despite a few drawbacks, the Cake Bake Shop has several dishes that truly shine. While the price point demands high expectations, I am optimistic that this beautiful venue will continue to refine its offerings as it grows. I look forward to returning, especially to experience the Christmas decorations and to try more of their menu items. Something we are VERY interested in trying is their afternoon tea package! This costs $89 each and includes sandwiches, truffles, as many teas as you would like to try all served from specially “tea trained” waitstaff.
Overall, the Cake Bake Shop is a charming addition to Disney’s BoardWalk—a spot that promises both visual and gastronomic delights, though some dishes may need fine-tuning to match the enchanting setting.
