Quick Service Breakfast Options When Staying at the BoardWalk

Disney’s BoardWalk Villas may be a popular resort, but a common complaint is its lack of quick service options for breakfast.  In the morning, you can get pastries and sandwiches at the BoardWalk Deli or visit Carousel Coffee for a small variety of pastries, but admittedly, options are rather limited.  The next time you stay at the BoardWalk, here are a few nearby options for breakfast if you don’t feel like ordering groceries.

Beach Club Marketplace

If you are in search of classic Mickey waffles, eggs, and bacon, the Beach Club Marketplace is your best option.  The menu also has breakfast sandwiches and plant-based Mickey waffles.  It’s easy to place your mobile order while walking around the boardwalk and over to the Beach Club.

The Market at Ale & Compass

If you go a little further to the Yacht Club, you’ll find the Market at Ale & Compass.  The menu here is similar to that of the Beach Club Marketplace with Mickey waffles and a few different breakfast sandwiches from egg whites and spinach to ham, egg, and cheddar.  There is also a breakfast bowl that includes scrambled eggs, a Mickey waffle, potato barrels, bacon, and a biscuit.

Ale & Compass To Go

Not to be confused with the quick service Market at Ale & Compass, Ale & Compass (the table service restaurant) offers breakfast orders to go from 7:30am to 11:00am.  The breakfast menu has some delicious entrees like the Crab Cake Benedict, Shrimp and White Cheddar Grits, Smoke Salmon Sandwich, American Breakfast (two eggs with potatoes and a side), Breakfast Protein Bowl, Dark Chocolate Waffles, Breakfast Flatbread, or the Salted Caramel-Apple French Toast.  There’s also a kids’ menu with Scrambled Eggs, Mickey Waffles, Mini Park House Egg, Ham, and Cheddar Sandwich, or Blueberry Pancakes.

Place your order via the My Disney Experience app.  It’s a similar process to mobile ordering.  From the main menu, go to “Order Food,” and select Ale & Compass To Go by hitting “Begin Order” under the restaurant’s name.  With your DVC membership linked to your My Disney Experience app, you’ll get 10% off your order.

Picabu at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort

A short walk away at the Dolphin, Picabu offers some standard American breakfast options like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, grits, and skillet potatoes.  While not Mickey waffles, the waffles here can be topped with spiced apples, wild berry sauce, banana caramel sauce, or chocolate hazelnut sauce.

Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in EPCOT

Pastries at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie

If you have a park hopper or annual pass, or you just planned to be in EPCOT later in the day anyway, you could easily rope drop Les Halles and bring breakfast back to your room.  Just let the cast members know you would like your food to go, and they’ll place everything in boxes.

This may sound like a long way to go for quick service, but it was actually a convenient option for my family when we last stayed at the BoardWalk.  It was nice to eat in our room instead of circling the small dining area at Les Halles to find an open table, and the walk to the France Pavilion from the BoardWalk is not too long.

Hollywood Scoops at Hollywood Studios

This is another possible option based on the type of ticket you have. You may be thinking ice cream for breakfast based on the subheader, but in the morning Hollywood Scoops serves Mickey waffles!  The Waffles Platter here includes Mickey waffles with fresh blueberries, whipped cream, and syrup.  The stand opens at 8:30am.

What is your favorite quick service breakfast spot when staying at the BoardWalk Villas?
