If this rumor proves true, this would be a bucket list trip for both Amy and me. We’ve always dreamed of seeing the Norwegian Fjords, and this could be our best—and possibly only—chance to experience them by Disney Cruise Line.
Starting in 2026, Norway will be enforcing strict environmental regulations that will restrict most cruise ships from sailing in the fjords unless they are zero-emission vessels. Since Disney’s current fleet relies on fossil fuels, it’s uncertain how much longer they’ll be able to offer Norwegian Fjord itineraries. This means that cruising with Disney through the fjords may soon become impossible—making this rumored DVC Member Cruise an extremely rare opportunity!
