The Disney Vacation Club Meet & Treat has returned for 2025! With two more dates left (October 27 and 28) for eligible DVC Members to take part in this Halloween Membership Magic event, let’s take a look at the spooktacular fun that awaits!
Getting There
Once again, the event is hosted at the BoardWalk. However, this year the Meet & Treat is held at the BoardWalk Convention Center (not Atlantic Dance Hall where it has been located in the past). Since resort parking is not included, it’s recommended that you take Disney transportation. If coming from another resort, it’s easiest to get there by taking Disney transportation to Hollywood Studios and then either walking or taking the Friendship boat to the BoardWalk. You could also go from Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, or Disney Springs, and take a bus to the BoardWalk since that drops you off close to the convention center. For the most direct route from another resort, you could also take a ride share and get dropped off at the BoardWalk.
Upon arriving at the convention center, you just need to present your digital DVC Membership card. You don’t have to register in advance to attend.
Character Meet & Greets
The highlight of the event is meeting with rare characters. This year, there was:
- Powerline Max
- Mike and Sulley from Monster’s, Inc.
- Duffy dressed as a pumpkin
Each of the characters were accompanied by a cast member who could take pictures for you with your phone. While the characters weren’t offering autographs, the cast members distributed post cards with the characters’ signatures printed on them.
Candy
What would a Halloween party be without candy? When you enter the event, a cast member will give you a reusable Halloween DVC tote bag that folds up into a small pouch. You can put that tote to immediate use by picking up candy at the two distribution points inside the event. One was near Duffy, and another was close to the entrance to the main room. Candy included favorites like Snickers, Twix, M&Ms, Starbursts, Milky Ways, and Lifesaver gummies.

Fun Extras
In addition to the characters and candy, there’s a DJ dance party and hula hoops that many of the kids seemed to enjoy. There were also a couple of non-character photo ops, including one with a Halloween-themed backdrop and another at the entrance to the event with pumpkin Mickey wreaths.

Final Thoughts
I’ve been lucky enough to attend this event before, and this one was just as cute as previous ones with the rare characters. The larger venue worked well, and it felt like the lines were shorter and easier to navigate than when the event was held at Atlantic Dance Hall. As someone whose trips do not align with Moonlight Magic often, I really appreciate these smaller DVC events.
