Disney Vacation Club recently announced its newest “First Wave” sailing opportunity for Members: A trip aboard the newest Adventures by Disney River Cruise to the enchanting lands of Holland and Belgium, setting sail June 28th, 2025!
DVC Members can be part of the “first wave” of adventurers to experience this majestic itinerary in its inaugural season.
A New Way to Experience Europe
This Adventures By Disney river cruise offers a journey through two of Europe’s most stunning countries on a river cruise that promises to be nothing short of magical. And what’s even more special? This specific adventure is exclusive to Disney Vacation Club Members and their guests.
Special Touch of Membership Magic
What makes this sailing opportunity even more memorable? As part of this “First Wave” DVC Member-exclusive sailing, you can expect some light touches of Membership Magic. This includes a special guest who will inspire you to “unleash your inner artist”.
It is important to note that this sailing is not a DVC Member Cruise and instead is an exclusive opportunity for DVC Members to be the ‘First Wave’ to set sail on this new Adventures By Disney cruise. This is similar to the Disney Wish exclusive sailing offered in 2022, the exclusive Lighthouse Point sailing scheduled for this year, and the DVC Member First Wave sailing aboard the Disney Treasure in 2025.
Disney Vacation Club has previously stated, “Different from a Member Cruise, this voyage is part of the Disney Collection exchange. Therefore, regular cruise programing will not be altered, and daily in-room gifts are not included.”
Itinerary at a Glance
Here is a quick overview of the itinerary:
- June 28: Amsterdam
- June 29: Amsterdam to Utrecht
- June 30: Kinderdijk and Rotterdam
- July 1: Ghent and Bruges
- July 2: Brussels
- July 3: Antwerp
- July 4: Delft and Gouda
- July 5: Amsterdam
From exploring the historic landmarks of Amsterdam to immersing yourself in the old-world charm of Ghent and Bruges, this trip promises to be packed with unforgettable experiences.
Pricing
Probably the most important piece of information shared is that unique to this Adventures By Disney opportunity, DVC Members WILL be able to book this select sailing via cash or with Reservation Points. This is different than other similar sailings, which have required at least one person to book with points. According to the DVC website: “Disney Vacation Club has waived the policy of requiring at least one passenger to sail using Reservation Points for this Member-exclusive sailing to Holland & Belgium. If Members would like to pay by using both cash and Reservation Points, they may do so, but individual passengers must be paid for by using all cash or all Reservation Points.”
It’s important to note that the only points eligible to book a cruise are direct points and resale points that were grandfathered in (back when resale members received blue cards). Unfortunately, this requirement will prohibit many Disney Vacation Club members from being able to book this sailing.
Point charts will be revealed on February 14th, 2024.
Booking Information
Mark your calendars because booking begins on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 10 AM EST.
Member Services Cast Members will again utilize an expedited booking procedure to secure your reservation on your initial call without further information. Then, within 72-hours, you will receive a follow-up call to finalize your payment method and fully guarantee the booking.
Members are asked to have the following information ready and available when calling to book:
- Member ID Number
- First, second and third stateroom category choices—popular options sell out quickly for this event
- Party size
- Number of adults and children
For each person sailing on the Member Cruise, please have the following information ready:
- Legal name and middle initial, spelled as it appears in print on appropriate citizenship documentation
- Physical home address (no P.O boxes)
- Home telephone number
- Date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy)
- Citizenship/nationality
Please note, DVC Exclusive “First Wave” sailings are considered a Disney Vacation Club –Membership Extra and can only be booked by direct members with a valid blue membership card.
