Disney Files Magazine recently gave members a sneak peek of Mickey and Minnie Mouse in fresh, travel‑inspired ensembles. These custom outfits are designed to evoke the spirit of exploration and for now, they’re exclusive to a special character meet & greet for DVC Members enrolled in Membership Magic Beyond.
This fall, you’ll be able to see Mickey and Minnie in their new looks during select Member Character Experience hours at the Disney Vacation Club ImaginAtrium lounge at EPCOT. And according to Disney Files, additional “special looks” for Mickey and Minnie are expected to roll out fully later in the year.
Below, we break down how this fits into the broader Magic Beyond offering, what the experience will look like, and what it means for DVC Members.
What is Membership Magic Beyond?
Membership Magic Beyond is an optional, paid enhancement tier for eligible DVC Members, launched in early 2025. it layers extra perks on top of standard DVC benefits—especially aimed at giving more access, flexibility, and exclusivity.
Some known perks of Magic Beyond include:
- Priority access to DVC member lounges when they are on waitlist status
- Extended evening access and exclusive hours at the ImaginAtrium lounge in EPCOT
- The Member Character Experience (meet & greets inside ImaginAtrium)
- Other benefits such as 2‑for‑1 use of DVC one‑time-use points, discounted theme park tickets, and a complimentary “Magic Maker” entitlement (for the 2025 version)
The Character Experience: From Zootopia to Mickey & Minnie
When Membership Magic Beyond first launched, the ImaginAtrium evening meet & greet featured Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde from Zootopia. That pairing was the first iteration of the “Member Character Experience.”

Now, Disney is pivoting. Mickey and Minnie are stepping into the spotlight with new travel‑themed costumes reserved exclusively for Magic Beyond members.
Here’s how the experience is (or will be) structured:
- The meet & greet happens during select evening hours at ImaginAtrium. (Times commonly cited as 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., though times may shift)
- Enrolled members can bring up to 4 guests (or up to the number on their resort stay, whichever is higher)
- Capacity limits and scheduling may apply; Cast Members may assign return times to avoid long waits
- Because the benefit ties to extended evening hours, you generally must be staying at a Disney Resort (or using DVC points for your stay) to access it.
- The extended hours benefit may be limited to once per stay (i.e. not every night) under the current rules.
From our experience, the lounge transforms into a quiet, exclusive setting after hours. There are fewer guests and more relaxed interactions with characters.
What This Suggests for DVC’s Strategy & Member Value
This move signals a deeper layering of membership tiers within DVC. By placing newly designed, exclusive character interactions behind the Magic Beyond paywall, Disney is emphasizing tiered value rewarding those willing to invest in more perks. This move also signals that plans for the 2026 version of Membership Magic Beyond are just around the corner, so stay tuned for more details soon!
