First Look: Refurbished Three Bedroom Grand Villa at Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village

It’s been exciting to see the newly refurbished Deluxe Studios, One Bedroom Villas, and Two Bedroom Villas at Kidani Village that perfectly retain the rich details that made the rooms unique while also giving them a more modern touch.  Thanks to Catherine Hackett Renner who graciously shared photos with DVC Fan, we can now get a look at the refurbished Three Bedroom Grand Villa!

Kitchen

Starting with the kitchen, we see many of the features found in the One Bedroom and Two Bedroom Villas, including:

  • Updated cabinets and counters
  • New sink and fixtures
  • Bright, patterned backsplash
  • New stainless steel appliances, such as the microwave, stove/oven, dishwasher, fridge
  • Keurig K-Duo to make a full pot of coffee or K-Cups

Off the kitchen and closer to the entrance of the villa, we find a new LG washer and dryer.

Dining Area

As with the other room types at Kidani, there are certain pieces of furniture that remained, such as the dining room table, chairs, and buffet with the carved hidden Mickeys.  However, small changes such as reupholstered dining room chairs, new light fixtures, and new curtains give the room a refreshed look.  A fun little detail is the figure of Zazu, perched at the end of the curtain rod.

Living Room

Moving into the living room, we see a new patterned area rug, sofa, accent chair, and media unit beneath the television.  The same striped curtains found in the dining room are also found on the dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room.  Outside on the balcony, there are new chairs and end tables.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom resembles that of the One and Two Bedroom Villas with the original bed frame featuring Simba and Nala, desk, chair, and mirror but a new dresser, lighting, and Lion King-inspired artwork hung above the headboard.  Built into the dresser are a few outlets for charging devices.

The updated master bathroom features an orange accent wall, orange tilework, and new fixtures, sink, and textured glass shower doors.  There’s also the thoughtful addition of a small step stool underneath the sink.

Second Floor

On the second floor landing, the sofa bed has been replaced by a queen size Murphy bed, and there is a new media unit.  Both bedrooms on this floor resemble the second bedrooms of the Two Bedroom Villas: Each have two queen size beds with new tapestries by the headboards, dressers, ceiling fans, and carpeting while the bed frames are still the same.
