Like nearly every refurbished DVC resort, Copper Creek will soon have Murphy beds! A January 2, 2025 press release from Inovabed, the manufacturer of the Murphy bed found in most DVC villas, announced that its space-saving beds will replace the sofa beds at Copper Creek.
This comes as welcome news for many DVC Members who find the Murphy bed much more comfortable than the old sofa beds. As noted by the Inovabed, besides providing greater comfort, the Murphy beds help optimize space within the villas since they fold up when not in use.
Copper Creek is scheduled to undergo renovations from mid-May 2025 to September 2025. Soft goods refurbishments take place about every 7 years and typically involve replacing textiles like the bedding and curtains as well as repainting walls or changing wallpaper. This will be Copper Creek’s first soft goods refurbishment since the resort opened in 2017.
The Inovabed press release shared that the renovations will be “carefully managed to minimize disruptions with work confined to daytime hours and floors renovated in stages, ensuring guests can continue to enjoy the magic of Disney uninterrupted.”

January 5, 2025Thank you! I was literally just trying to look this up yesterday to see what our home resort refurbs would look like and if they would be done by December.
I’m glad people love the Murphy beds because I way prefer the old ones when it comes to sitting on the couch. I find the new ones are incredibly hard and stiff when they’re turned back into a “couch”…like sitting on a slightly padded park bench.
