Work is moving swiftly over at the Grand Floridian lobby, and now we have an update on the new bar: The birdcage-inspired bar, which will be called The Perch, will open on Monday, November 10.
What’s the Current Status of The Perch?
The bar is currently still under construction, but it is all coming together. Guests can easily see the finished dark wood birdcage structure in the center of the lobby behind the construction curtains.
In recent weeks, the stained glass panels and intricate spire have been added to the roof of the cage as well as the countertops, shelves, lighting, and brass accents. The newly unveiled tile flooring around the bar has a black, white, and gray herringbone pattern.
What’s on the Menu?
The menu will include champagne, wine, beer, and cocktails. Disney Parks Blog even shared a sneak peek at few signature drinks:
- Sunshine State Rum Sazerac
- Floridian 75
- Blueberry and Basil Iced Tea: a blend of lemon, blueberry, and basil tea (non-alcoholic)
