Today we’re getting a glimpse at some exciting new details about the highly anticipated Polynesian Island Tower, the latest addition to Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. If you’re as eager as I am to see this new DVC space come to life, you’re going to love what’s in store. From the grand lobby to the exclusive terraces, every inch of this tower is designed to immerse us in the vibrant essence of the islands. Let’s dive into the new details Disney has shared about what makes this new addition so special!
A Grand Lobby Inspired by Island Storytelling
From the moment you set eyes on the Polynesian Island Tower, you’ll be captivated by its impressive exterior, which is adorned with intricate patterns inspired by Polynesian tattoos. These designs celebrate the rich storytelling traditions of the islands, instantly transporting you into the heart of Polynesian culture.

As you step inside, the breathtaking lobby welcomes you with an homage to the art of wayfinding—those ancient navigators who used the stars and natural elements to guide them home. The lobby features expertly crafted artwork that showcases this theme, including a stunning three-story mural. A mural in the lobby beautifully narrates the connection between sea and sky, featuring beloved characters from Moana who symbolize the adventurous spirit and love of nature that define this magical place.
Exclusive Tropical Garden Terraces
One of the Polynesian Island Tower’s most talked-about features is now more known! Tower guests will have exclusive access to four tropical garden terraces, each themed to a different island: Bora Bora, Hawaiʻi, Samoa, and Fiji. These terraces are more than just beautiful outdoor spaces—they’re immersive experiences that celebrate the unique flora and artwork of each island.

Imagine relaxing in a uniquely themed seating area, surrounded by lush greenery and stunning views. On one side, you can watch the Magic Kingdom park fireworks light up the sky, while on the other, you can enjoy the serene vistas of Disney’s Oak Trail and Magnolia Golf Courses. It’s the perfect blend of Disney magic and island tranquility.
Charming Accommodations with a Polynesian Twist
The resort’s distinctive Polynesian theme carries through to its charming accommodations. Each room type is designed to explore a different natural element, with custom textiles and subtle nods to Moana’s wayfinding journey. Whether it’s the soothing colors, the intricate patterns, or the thoughtful details inspired by the love of nature, these rooms promise a stay that’s as relaxing as it is enchanting.

New Fitness Center and Pool Area
The Polynesian Island Tower will also feature a brand-new fitness center and pool area, offering both aquatic fun and a peaceful escape. The Cove Pool is the perfect spot to unwind, with a courtyard that includes a sandy beach area, a whirlpool spa, and magnificent views of Seven Seas Lagoon. For the little ones, Moana’s Voyage is a splash area that promises endless fun with a figure of Moana, her iconic outrigger canoe, and interactive water features. The addition of a fitness center to the Polynesian has long been a request from Members, as currently, Guests of the Polynesian have to utilize the fitness center located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

Introducing the Wailulu Bar & Grill
As if all this wasn’t exciting enough, the tower will also be home to the new Wailulu Bar & Grill. This dining spot is designed to evoke the natural beauty of the islands, with banquette seating surrounded by flowing water and a lava rock-inspired bar overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon. Whether you’re grabbing an on-the-go breakfast, enjoying a leisurely lunch or dinner, or just stopping by the walk-up pool bar and grill, the Wailulu Bar & Grill is sure to become a favorite spot. And let’s not forget the breathtaking views of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom park—a perfect backdrop for any meal.
