The Polynesian Villas & Bungalows consists of the standalone Bora Bora Bungalows along the Seven Seas Lagoon plus the Deluxe Studios that are located in three longhouses: Morea, Pago Pago, and Tokelau. What are the differences among these longhouses, and which is best for your next stay at the Polynesian?
Moorea
The Moorea longhouse has a great location near the Transportation and Ticket Center. While the Polynesian has its own monorail station, the quick walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center makes it faster to get to EPCOT–no transfer necessary! You can also catch the ferry boat to the Magic Kingdom or the express monorail straight to the Magic Kingdom from the Transportation and Ticket Center.
Moorea is the only longhouse at the Polynesian that offers both Lake View Deluxe Studios and Standard View Deluxe Studios. The lake views offer a glimpse of the Magic Kingdom and are best on the second and third floors since the bungalows can block the view of the studios on the first floor.
Lastly, Moorea is where you will find the DVC laundry room at the Polynesian. It is located on the first floor.
Pago Pago

Pago Pago is also close to the Transportation and Ticket Center. However, unlike the Moorea longhouse, Pago Pago consists of all Standard View Deluxe Studios. It is the closest longhouse to the parking lot, which can be convenient if you bring your own car or have a rental car. This also means that some studios have a parking lot view from your balcony. However, these same balconies offer a view of the monorail passing by as it travels from the Transportation and Ticket Center to the Polynesian.
Tokelau
Like Pago Pago, Tokelau only has Standard View Deluxe Studios. It is also a fairly large longhouse, so your view can vary quite a bit depending on which side you are on. You may either see the Oasis Pool (the quiet pool), or you may be lucky enough to have a partial theme park view from the end rooms on the north side of the longhouse (ending in 14 or 15).
Among the DVC longhouses, Tokelau is the closest to the Oasis Pool and the Great Ceremonial House where you will find the monorail station, buses, restaurants, and resort amenities. The barbeque area is also in front of Tokelau.

Tony Carfora
April 9, 2024Hi DVC friends. I am Poly resort owner. I recently (April 1-6) visited with family . We were 10 souls and reserved 3 rooms. I requested months in advance and confirmed 10 days before. Tokelau Lodge, first floor rooms and non-connecting rooms. What we received on check-in was parking lot views in Pago Pago on the second floor and all adjacent. Grandchildren visited us every morning.
The convivence to TTC can’t be overstated.
I have stayed at Moorea on another occasion and liked it very much. However, there is one drawback. It is very close to the MK ferry. At night when the ferry returns from MK it blasts it’s horn as it arrives in dock. You don’t notice it during the day but at night (especially on extender hours) it blasts every 15 minutes or so.
