Long-Awaited Art Kiosk Arrives at Polynesian Resort

After much anticipation, the Polynesian Resort at Walt Disney World has unveiled its brand-new art kiosk, nestled inside the BouTiki gift shop within the Great Ceremonial House. This immersive addition offers guests a unique opportunity to bring breathtaking artwork inspired by the resort’s vibe and culture directly into their homes.

What Makes the Polynesian Art Kiosk Unique?

The highlight of this kiosk is the Polynesian Art Collection, a curated series featuring 13 exclusive pieces inspired by the vibrant murals and decor found in the new Island Tower. While there are additional art options available, this particular collection ties directly to the Polynesian aesthetic, making it a must-see (and must-shop) for resort guests, Disney fans, and art enthusiasts alike.

At the art kiosk, customers can personalize their purchase in a number of ways. The interactive interface allows you to:

  • Select your favorite piece of art.
  • Choose the medium (paper or canvas).
  • Pick from three different sizes (small, medium, or large). Note that the exact dimensions depend on the print.

What’s more? You can add custom framing for an upgraded look. However, it’s good to note that frames and larger formats can increase the overall price significantly.

The Price Range and Process

Here’s a basic breakdown of what to expect in terms of pricing:

  • Large unframed canvas starts at $219.
  • Large unframed paper prints are about $40 cheaper in comparison.
  • Framing will bring your piece into the high $300+ range, depending on the style you select.

Once you’ve selected your artwork, the kiosk guides you to input your address. After finalizing your choices, you’ll head to the checkout counter where a helpful cast member will assist with the payment and finalize your purchase. Keep in mind that this system is still new, so staff may need a little extra time to complete the process.

Disney Vacation Club Members are eligible for a 20% DVC Discount on art purchases for those that qualify for Member Benefits!

One important note for buyers is shipping costs. Shipping large canvases can be pricey—our experience clocked it in at $150 for two pieces, and no DVC discount is provided for the shipping cost. That said, Disney ensures every piece arrives well-protected and in pristine condition, which should ease any worries about shipping quality.

Our Top Picks from the Collection

While we felt some minor disappointment at the limited selection and lack of art from the colorful Island Tower hallways, there’s still plenty to love! Among our favorites:

  • “Rhythms of the Island”—an enchanting piece that captures the spirit of the tropics.
  • “Voyage Under the Stars”—perfect for creating a serene and magical vibe in any room.
  • “Under the Tide”—a familiar favorite, spotted on the pull-down Murphy beds in the Island Tower rooms.

These prints captured the Polynesian vibe so well that we had trouble choosing just two—and we’ll admit, it was hard to pass on “Under the Tide”!

A New Takeaway for Polynesian Guests

The arrival of the art kiosk is an exciting update for Polynesian Resort guests, creating a fresh way to preserve cherished memories of their Disney vacation. Whether you’re an art collector, a Disney fanatic, or simply someone drawn to the Polynesian Resort’s iconic aesthetic, this kiosk allows you to take a piece of the magic home with you.

If you’re planning to visit the kiosk, it’s worth taking your time to explore the options and factor in additional costs like framing and shipping. Whether it’s a sizeable canvas for your living room or a dainty framed print for a cozy corner, these artworks are sure to serve as unforgettable mementos of your Polynesian stay.

Stop by BouTiki on your next visit to check it out—and prepare to discover your next favorite piece of art!
