Disney Vacation Club is projecting that the new Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will open on Monday – June 20th, 2022! With booking for owners of the Grand Floridian opening today (March 14th), Member Services cast members were stating that they were able to secure bookings for as early as June 20th, although this date is not firm and dependent on the refurbishment of the resort studios finishing as scheduled.
As of 9:45 am, all room categories were still available for the opening night of the new villas.

With today’s launch of the all-new Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa we also learned when existing Disney Vacation Club Members can begin booking these rooms!
Owners of the Grand Floridian will be able to book the new Resort Studios on March 14th, 2022. All other members can begin booking on May 13th, 2022.
“Existing Members with a home resort at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or Members that added-on at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa may begin booking the new Resort Studios on 3/14/2022 by calling Member Services. Members with other home resorts may begin booking Resort Studios on 5/13/2022 through DisneyVactionClub.com or by calling Member Services.”

It is important to note that during the initial booking window, existing members of the Grand Floridian will be required to call Member Services in order to make a reservation.

March 14, 2022Please discuss the difference between the “old” studios and the “resort” studios. Am I correct that the new resort studios do not have the kitchenette and is rather like a hotel room, rather than a normal DVC studio?
