New Member Incentives Unveiled for The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

The Cabins at Fort Wilderness

Disney Vacation Club has officially opened sales to the general public for The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort! Alongside this announcement comes the first glance at the incentives being offered to new members who decide to call this new Disney Vacation Club property home.

Incentive Details

For those looking to join Disney Vacation Club as a new member by purchasing at The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, a range of savings is now accessible, valid through April 1, 2024. Prospective members can expect to save:

When You Purchase…You’ll Save…Total Savings
150 to 199 Vacation Points$6 Per Point$900 to $1,194
200 to 249 Vacation Points$8 Per Point$1,600 to $1,992
250 to 299 Vacation Points$10 Per Point$2,500 to $2,990
300 to 499 Vacation Points$12 Per Point$3,600 to $5,988
500+ Vacation Points$13 Per Point$6,500+
Savings expire April 1st, 2024

Comparative Analysis

It’s noteworthy that these new member incentives are not as lucrative as the add-on savings previously announced for existing members, and they also fall short of the current offers available for Aulani and Riviera resorts. Both Aulani and Riviera start at a base price of $225 per point, similar to The Cabins at Fort Wilderness. For a comparative perspective, a purchase of 150 vacation points currently secures a $1,500 saving at Aulani, $1,050 at Riviera, and $900 at Fort Wilderness.

Strategic Pricing

The less aggressive incentive strategy for The Cabins at Fort Wilderness may be indicative of Disney Vacation Club’s confidence in the property’s allure and its ability to sell a majority of the resort through cash reservations. Despite the higher Annual Dues associated with this resort, which makes it a pricier option over the contract’s lifespan compared to other DVC properties, the initial incentives represent potentially the best offers we’ll see for this property. This has historically been the case with new resort sales and the incentives being offered.

A Timely Opportunity

For individuals and families considering The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort as their first Disney Vacation Club property, the current incentives present a compelling opportunity to make that dream a reality. As we anticipate the next round of incentives across all DVC resorts in April, now may indeed be the optimal time for interested parties to explore ownership at this new resort.
