A Strategic Shift in Focus
This winter, DVC is clearly concentrating its efforts on the Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort, offering unmatched savings that are difficult to ignore. While the Polynesian and other properties still feature promotional incentives, the aggressive pricing strategies of its “on sale” offers have been scaled back.
For members and prospective buyers, this means Fort Wilderness is the must-watch property for Winter 2024. Whether you’re looking for a rustic escape or exploring other resort options, there’s never been a better time to evaluate your DVC portfolio and see if it’s time to add-on another contract. December 12, 2024For a 150 point contract to current members, The Cabins ends up costing $28k and the Polynesian ends up costing $32k. The $4k difference will quickly get eaten up by the crazy maintenance fees, resale restrictions hurting resale value, and general undesirability. I think DVC may have to grease the skids even more to get people to commit to that quagmire. Maybe some sort of 0% financing offer?
