Just one day after the closure of Big River Grille, Disney’s Boardwalk has welcomed its first food truck – APP’s Food Truck! This marks a new chapter in the dining scene at the Boardwalk, offering guests some fresh new tastes as they stroll around Crescent Lake.
The closure of Big River Grille, although met with disappointment by some, also brought about anticipation for what was to come. We now have our first taste of that change with the arrival of APP’s Food Truck. The truck is expected to be the first in a series of rotating food truck options that will grace the Boardwalk in the coming months.
APP’s Food Truck made its debut at the Boardwalk today and wasted no time in sharing its excitement on Instagram. The food truck posted a photo showcasing their setup outside Jellyrolls and a glimpse of their menu, which you can check out here.
What are your thoughts on this new foodie addition to Disney’s Boardwalk? Does it excite you, or do you find yourself missing some of the old offerings like Big River or ESPN Club? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

January 22, 2024I’ve always been a supporter of productive change, but I when you have a something that works, don’t change it. It’s counter productive. That said, someone has to explain to me what happened with Big River Grill? Just as with ESPN Club, we have been eating there for years. Both were always busy and extremely reasonably priced. We’re not Food Truck people when on vacation. We go to Disney World for it’s unique variety and quality. We can eat at a food truck any day of the week at home. When I hear the words “Welcome Home” at the Boardwalk Villas, I’d rather not see an ad for a food truck.

January 22, 2024I can’t tell you what happened to Big River Grill, but the only other one in existence also closed (in Chattanooga, TN). As for ESPN Club, apparently the third party running it did not want to pay for the license to pay for using the ESPN name anymore.

January 22, 2024Disney and DVC keep taking away and charging more, all the while, going woke.
I’ll be selling my DVC soon and buying something else, somewhere else.
Thanks for the memories!
