Changes are coming to Disney Vacation Club (DVC) properties in Florida, with a shift in how the condominium associations will operate moving forward. Thanks to recent legislative updates in Florida, the format and frequency of DVC’s condo association board meetings are set to evolve, offering Members more opportunities to stay informed and engaged.
Increased Frequency: Four Meetings a Year
Starting in late 2024, DVC resorts located in Florida will hold quarterly board meetings, a significant change from the previous annual format. The first of these quarterly meetings is scheduled for September 26, 2024. For DVC Members, this means there will be four opportunities each year to connect with the leadership, ask questions, and stay updated on the latest developments at their home resorts.
First Quarterly Board Meetings Scheduled for September 26th
The first round of individual association quarterly board meetings will take place on September 26, 2024, at the Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Convention Center. DVC Members planning to attend are required to RSVP by September 20, 2024, using this link which is also available on the Disney Vacation Club website.
The specific times for each association’s meeting are listed in the RSVP link, so you can plan your day accordingly. Members can only attend the board meeting for the Home Resort(s) they own, as these meetings are tailored to the needs and concerns of those specific associations.
December Annual Meeting: A New Festive Gathering
This change also introduces a new dynamic for the previously scheduled annual December meeting. Historically, this December gathering served as a joint board and Member meeting, but beginning in 2024, it will transition into more of a general gathering and informational session. On December 12, 2024, DVC will host a Member-focused reception led by DVC leadership, replacing the traditional annual meeting with a festive event where Members can celebrate the year’s memories, engage with Disney leaders, and enjoy some holiday treats.
We hope that this meeting becomes a regular platform for DVC leadership to share exciting updates, much like a DVC-centric version of D23. Members could learn the latest news about their resorts, upcoming refurbishment schedules, and other developments within the DVC community.
Individual Resort Meetings: December 10 and 11
The individual board and Member meetings for each resort will now be held separately on December 10 and 11, 2024. More information on time, location, and registering for these meetings will be provided in the near future.
