Cash reservations for Disney Vacation Club Members begin this morning, and we’ve quickly uncovered that the tentative opening date for the new Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is set for December 17th. Let’s dive into what we can expect from this eagerly anticipated addition!

How We Discovered the Opening Date

The new Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows will open on December 17th, 2024!

Earlier today, Disney Parks Blog announced the details and room information for the opening, as well as the tentative grand opening date of December 17th. Similar to the opening of Grand Floridian’s Big Pine Key, there is a bit of a disclaimer when booking this date that it could change; however, we have not seen that happen for the past few new DVC openings we’ve been part of.

What’s New at the Polynesian?

This stunning new Island Tower will add an impressive 268 DVC rooms to the Polynesian resort. And that’s not all! Alongside these additional rooms, the resort will also feature a brand-new pool area and a tantalizing new restaurant. We’re expecting further announcements about the amenities included in the Island Tower, so stay tuned.

Our Grand Opening Plans

We’re busy securing our grand opening reservations this morning and can’t wait to share every detail about the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows with you later this year. Trust us, you won’t want to miss it!
