Reimagined EPCOT ImaginAtrium DVC Member Lounge NOW OPEN!

Well, the day finally came—the newly reimagined EPCOT ImaginAtrium Member Lounge is officially open, and we wasted no time heading over to check it out on our most recent trip to EPCOT. But if you were expecting a dramatic transformation, let’s just say, don’t get your hopes up too much.

New Signage and Furniture

Outside of some new signage, there’s not much that’s noticeably different. The furniture, once again, has been “reimagined,” and the best way I can describe it is contemporary yet non-functional. Case in point: I nearly fell off my oddly egg-shaped stool not once, but twice. I guess that’s what we call an immersive experience! 🤷‍♀️ But hey, style points, right?

More Charging Spots and Extra Seating

On the bright side, they did add more charging spots throughout the lounge, which is a big plus if your phone or device is in desperate need of juice. I was also glad to see that there is indeed some additional seating, which was one of the upgrades we were hoping for. It might help alleviate those long waits for a spot during busier times.

Instagrammable Photo Wall

The Instagrammable photo wall has also been updated with the lounge’s new logo—this could potentially be the location for the upcoming character meet and greet opportunity for paid perks Members as part of the Membership Magic Beyond program. So, keep your eyes peeled for that!

Snacks and Refreshments

Snacks and Refreshments? No major changes there. The Coca-Cola Freestyle machines, coffee, chips, and cookies are still available for Members to enjoy. Over in the children’s area, there is some new artwork that incorporates Figment and the imagination elements of the space—just a small but nice touch that keeps the theme consistent.

Advertisements and Resort Models

As expected, there were a number of advertisements for actively selling properties like the Cabins at Fort Wilderness and a model of The Disneyland Hotel Villas. Not much change there either, but always interesting to see the latest models on display.

The Elevator Experience

Now, the elevator… We had heard that a lot of work was needed here, so naturally, we took it on our way out just to see if we could notice any difference. My verdict? It’s still just a slow, clunky old elevator. I’m guessing the upgrades were mostly mechanical—nothing flashy, but hopefully more reliable.

All in all, the EPCOT ImaginAtrium Member Lounge remains a cozy spot to recharge, but don’t expect anything too revolutionary with this refurbishment. I think there’s still some room to add more comfort and functionality to the space, but for now, it serves its purpose. And, hey, we at least got more seating and extra charging stations, which I’ll happily take.

If you’ve had a chance to visit the reimagined lounge, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Was it what you expected? Did you love the changes, or were you hoping for a little more magic?
