RUMOR: NEW DVC Member Lounge Coming to the Magic Kingdom

Rumors are circulating today that the location of the new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Member Lounge at Walt Disney World may finally be revealed. WDWMagic and WDWNT have both reported that the space currently occupied by the Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade in the Magic Kingdom is expected to close its doors permanently this summer, to be transformed into an exclusive lounge for DVC members.

It’s important to note that Disney Vacation Club has yet to confirm the location of this new lounge, but Frontierland and Magic Kingdom would be a welcome home for this new DVC Getaway with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure set to open later this summer nearby.

This would mark the second DVC Member Lounge debut at Walt Disney World this year, coming on the heels of the opening of “Gateway to Discovery” – A Disney Vacation Club Welcome Home Center at Disney Springs just last month. The center, designed with DVC members in mind, also is expected to have a second-floor lounge area slated to welcome members later this spring. This series of expansions underlines Disney Vacation Club’s commitment to enhancing its members’ experiences across the Walt Disney World Resort.

Previously, journalist Brooke Geiger McDonald stated on social media, “The second-floor member space is not the new DVC member lounge announced earlier this year. Details on that space will be shared at a later date.”

The news of this new DVC Member Lounge coming to the Magic Kingdom aligns with this thought, and all I can really say is that I hope it’s true! Although all parks could definitely use a DVC Member Lounge, Magic Kingdom faces the most congestion, and a relaxing place to escape the heat would be perfect for this park. Also, did I mention that there are Dole Whips nearby?
