Saratoga Springs Treehouse Villa Refurbishment Coming Soon

If you’re a fan of the Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, there’s some promising news to keep an eye on regarding the resort’s upcoming refurbishment plans. Earlier this week, Disney filed a notice of commencement that points toward the start of a long-anticipated refurbishment project at this one-of-a-kind section of the resort.

The filing references unit 7054, one of the first Treehouse Villas you encounter when entering the area. While we’ve not yet seen any other notices related to the remaining villas, this could signal the beginning of phased work on a full hard-goods refurbishment for the Treehouse Villas.

A Long Time Coming

The Treehouse Villas were built several years after the original sections of Saratoga Springs and were not included in the resort’s most recent large-scale refurbishment. This has left many Members wondering when these unique villas would receive their own update—and now, it appears we may be getting close.

The contractor listed on the notice is Land-Ron, Inc., a Florida-based hotel renovation firm that specializes in luxury interior upgrades for major hospitality brands. According to their website, they’ve worked with Disney on resort projects dating all the way back to 1993, including previous DVC refurbishments.

What is a Hard-Goods Refurbishment?

Unlike soft-goods refreshes, which generally include new fabrics, curtains, and bedding, hard-goods refurbishments involve more extensive changes. This may include updates to flooring, furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, lighting, and overall design—essentially breathing new life into the entire villa experience.

While we don’t yet have visuals or specific design plans, it’s reasonable to expect that Disney Vacation Club will aim to align the Treehouse Villas with the modernized aesthetic introduced in other refurbished DVC properties. This could include things like Murphy-style pull-down beds, brighter interior color schemes, and more functional furnishings for families and larger groups.

Part of a Larger Refurbishment Effort

This potential start of work at Saratoga Springs adds to the broader landscape of ongoing DVC resort refurbishments. Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas, Kidani Village is also set to begin its full hard-goods refurbishment, with Jambo House expected to follow in 2026. These updates are part of Disney Vacation Club’s continued investment in maintaining high standards across its resort portfolio.

We’ll be monitoring this story closely and will share updates as more permits are filed or as Disney provides further confirmation. For now, it’s encouraging to see forward movement on refreshing these beloved and uniquely secluded villas.
