March 4, 2024Loved this episode, especially since my wife and I are definitely leaning the DL side so much more now. Not just cause we have two under 6 either. Just don’t feel as rushed. So much so we’re seriously debating DVC points for one of the two resorts. I just hate the transient tax and while I know it’s baked in at Grand Cal the prices on that one are just insane for me. May just point hack it for Marriot free stays every time which stinks or Westin 🙂

March 4, 2024Here’s something that’s much much better at WDW: Food & Wine Festival. We own at GVC and were out there last trip during F&W. What a bust! Really crowded, not many booths, not much variety, and some of the food was actually inedible. Our college-aged daughter bought a Peanut Butter & Jelly Mac n Cheese w Pop Rocks. She still talks about it as the single worst food item she’s ever ordered. She probably always will.
I’m also glad that they’re building a 3rd gate. In the almost 20 years we’ve been visiting DL, we’ve watched the crowds go up and up and up. Our last trip in 2022 was the most crowded we’ve ever seen it. They definitely need a 3rd gate to spread out the crowds.
There is much we love about DL. That’s why we own there. We love the rides, love the CS dining, and really love the fandom vibe, which is so different from the more touristy vibe of WDW. I also loved your show, which gave me a chance to take a virtual visit. Now that we live on the east coast, we don’t get back there often enough.
