Thank you so much for doing this show! It is wonderful that you provide us with information and you are always honest! I have not very many but was a signif186 points which is not many but a significant investment for me. I would NEVER buy into a time share, except for Disney, but my faith in them is wanning. They do need to communicate more and actually talk to the members. I did feel that this was a family I was joining at the same time understanding this is still a business. Cast members are great and always helpful but not seeing this at the top I understand they are out to make money but also need to take care of their members as it was my understanding this was to be a fiduciary responsible relationship. If members get 2+ % of cash rooms or cash profit , why is DVC getting 97+%. Looking at this piece only, that is a large discrepancy. If they are the fiduciary they need to act that way. This being said I love being a member of DVC and want to continue feeling this way so lets keep everything honest and transparent.

Great video, but I think the concept of Breakage is somewhat hard to put a dollar amount on. An simpler way to quantify the dollar impact is to look at what it would cost members to purchase One Time Use (OTU) points at the current price of $19 per point to cover the additional points in the inflated point charts. It was posted on the Disboards that over the remaining life of all DVC resorts, if DVC continues using the current 2022 point chart methodology over the remaining life of all DVC resorts, it would cost members $72 million to purchase the OTU points needed.

How is it legal for DVC to change the points within the 11 month reservation window? If the points change with less than 11 months before the change, it would mean members who booked at 11 months would have a different point rate than members who booked after the change occurred. Surely this cannot be legal.

Could DVC be trying to increase points because of all the unused points during Covid in 2020?

My Baylake points have gone up quite a lot for the same week that I usually book. I wouldn’t be able to afford it in 2022. Not clear where they might have reduced points in exchange very confusing

I enjoy the content you guys put out. It took several years for my wife and I to pull the trigger on a DVC resale contract and the information you guys share definitely helped in our decision. Keep up the great work! I have officially (for whatever that is worth) dubbed you guys the unofficial ambassadors of the DVC community.

I would be curious to know if DVC has a DVC member “Bill of Rights”or a DVC member association that I overlooked during the DVC purchase process or am I expecting too much? To think that DVC is just another timeshare is an understatement in my opinion.
