  • Years ago when I first bought into Disney back in 1995, they used Interval International instead of RCI. The quality of those accomodations was excellent. I noticed a major difference once Disney went over to RCI. As you’ve remarked, RCI’s quality resort quality isn’t always that good. I just don’t understand why Disney continues with them. I wonder who was responsible for choosing RCI over Interval International.

  • Been a dvc member since 2005. Love your show, I know you guys have a life, but would love to see you on longer. As a member from NJ I try to use my points twice a year. Since 1989 this will be 62 times coming up,stayed at almost every hotel and dvc property. You are so right about using points for a hotel room, makes no sense especially for what you get in a dvc studio compared to a hotel room. I would never use it on an RCI property, if they change to Hyatt club definitely. Anyway love you guys great show big follower , learn a lot.

  • Gee, we started out staying 5 weeknights in standard studios at the Boardwalk in Adventure Season 2X a year to maximize our points and would actually have points left over to accumulate into a 3rd trip or an occasional weekend night. My work schedule has taken me out of adventure season and we sometimes splurge for weekend nights to stay 6 or 7 nights total and to get the Boardwalk view. We are still getting good mileage from our 100 point contract. We occasionally supplement by buying 5 or 6 points from Disney or spending a weekend night at Riverside (which we love). We’ve stayed at Hilton Head a couple of times in November for 6 points a night. We get to walk on the beach alone, enjoy resort activities, see old Savannah decorated for Christmas and eat amazing seafood.
I cannot imagine spending 360 points for a cruise!
