The trend of Disney Vacation Club pool refurbishment projects seems to be continuing at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Adding to the list of recent pool projects, such as the Luna Park Pool at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas and The Paddock Pool at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, we’ve just learned of another upcoming refurbishment.

Beginning in early 2022, the Samawati Springs Pool at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village will be closed for refurbishment.

In an announcement on its website, Disney states:

From January 2022 through April 2022, the Samawati Springs Pool at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village will be closed for refurbishment. During this time, Guests staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village may enjoy the Uzima Springs Pool at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House. You may see and hear construction noise while this refurbishment is underway, but you should not hear noise from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 AM. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Previously, in 2018, Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Uzima Springs Pool at Jambo House saw a similar closure throughout the winter months. Most pools throughout Walt Disney World have received a new interior “pebble” concrete finish as part of recent refurbishments.

Let us know in the comments your thoughts and if this refurbishment will impact your upcoming plans to stay at Kidani!
