  • I agree with Pete (it could happen), Disneyland Tower will open at $300pp. For VGF2, my feeling is starting at the VGF sold out price ($255pp?) giving room for incentives (maybe).

To my mind, the $48 top discount for BLT is crazy. Yes, DVC is bringing the direct price closer to resale but the value in owning direct is just not there (access to Riviera at 7 months is nice but not that nice). I think they could move more units by bringing back the DVC Gold annual pass and maybe members’ extra magic hours (not to be confused with Moonlight Magic).

    • Shortly after I posted I received a notice about Moonlight Magic. Mind you, the announced dates are WAY too close for me to actually plan a vacation around a date but it is a start. Maybe DVC annual pass WITH photopass digital downloads are coming. (Whistling pass graveyard.)

  • Pete, I loved your story about second thoughts about selling your Boulder Ridge contract. Our “Alpha Contract” is at the Beach Club. I just can’t get rid of it. It’s our first DVC baby.

  • Also, I totally agree that the DL Tower is going to sell fast. There’s a lot of interest out there and a second DVC at DL is a long time coming. And I agree it will be priced high. So happy we already have points at the Grand Cal!
