DVC Members finally received some good news from Disney Vacation Club: Moonlight Magic is back for 2022! Moonlight Magic Events are complimentary after-hours events exclusive to those eligible for Membership Magic Extras. Highlights of Moonlight Magic include shorter wait times for select attractions, character appearances, “reimagined entertainment,” and complimentary treats. An email sent to members today shared that Moonlight Magic will take place on the following dates:
EPCOT Moonlight Magic
- Thursday – March 17, 2022
- Thursday – March 31, 2022
Hollywood Studios Moonlight Magic
- Tuesday – May 24, 2022
- Thursday – June 16, 2022
- Thursday – July 14, 2022
Animal Kingdom Moonlight Magic
- Tuesday – July 26, 2022
- Wednesday – August 31, 2022
- Wednesday – September 28, 2022
Members are able to book up to one event date per park, and they are able to register themselves plus up to 4 additional guests per membership for a total of 5, or up to the number of guests on their resort reservation.
Registration for the Animal Kingdom Moonlight Magic events begins on June 28th for eligible members with resort stays booked by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on June 25th. Event registration is done through an online virtual queue and begins at 11:00am, EST. Note that resort stays include those at all Disney-owned and operated hotels at Walt Disney World as well as Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, not strictly DVC resorts. Members with resort stays should keep an eye out for an email from DVC on June 27th that will contain a link to the Animal Kingdom online registration page. Pending availability, general registration for all eligible members will open on July 13th.
Please note, Moonlight Magic is considered a Disney Vacation Club – Membership Extra and can only be booked by direct members with a valid blue membership card.

February 15, 2022You never know, but I will note that the email that went out to DVC members included a 9/28 date for Animal Kingdom. However, since it didn’t appear online, I have not included it in this article. We’ll see what becomes of that one.

February 15, 2022You do need to be eligible for membership extras (i.e., have a blue card), but you only need a resort stay for the first round of registration (February 23 for the EPCOT events). General registration is offered afterwards depending on availability. It’ll be March 8 for the EPCOT events.
