It takes very little to get me to visit my favorite Disney Vacation Club Resort. So when the new reimagined BoardWalk Deli opened recently at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, I knew where we’d be eating dinner soon!

BoardWalk Deli replaces the previous BoardWalk Bakery with some mild decor upgrades and exciting new menu options. The changes are just enough to inject some new life into this counter-service restaurant while keeping much of the saw overall feel.

Lunch and Dinner Entrees

Warm Pastrami Reuben at Disney's BoardWalk Deli

Warm Pastrami Reuben

Sauerkraut, Swiss, and Thousand Island Dressing on Marble Rye served with choice of Side

$12.99

With my friend David visiting Katz’s Delicatessen

In New York City today, I already had pastrami on my mind. This reuben hit the spot perfectly with the perfect blend of flavors. I love a reuben that lets the pastrami take center stage versus being overpowered by the other flavors. My only slight critique is that the sandwich was extremely greasy. Tone down the butter a little when toasting this, and it would be perfect.

Lastly, I think I’ve given my’ Ode to House Made Chips’ here previously, but this was my obvious side choice and did not disappoint. Salted, fresh, and slightly warm – these were the perfect accompaniment to my sandwich.

Italian Sub at Disney's BoardWalk Deli

Italian Sub

Capicola, Soppressata, Pepperoni, Provolone, Arugula, Tomato, Arugula Pesto, and Mayonnaise on Ciabatta served with choice of Side

$11.49

I enjoyed this sandwich a lot. The ciabatta had the ideal consistency of chewy and slightly crusty, and the meats went well together. I always love the peppery flavor of arugula on sandwiches. Combined with the tomato, mayonnaise, and pesto, this sandwich had a lot of flavors. I’m not used to cold Italian subs, but this was a win for me.

I agree with Paul. The chips were a tasty and salty side of abundant quantity. We couldn’t even eat them all. We also tried the coleslaw. It tasted fresh and light. It wasn’t bursting with flavor, but it also wasn’t overly sauced, which was appreciated. I used my chips to scoop it up and enjoyed the combination.

NY Half Moon Cookie at Disney's BoardWalk Deli

NY Half Moon Cookie

$3.79

If there’s any part of this meal I would like a do-over for, it is dessert. I found the base of this NY Half Moon Cookie to be extremely dry. Remember that butter I said they could back off on with the reuben? Let’s bring that over here!

Brownie Cheesecake at Disney's BoardWalk Deli

Brownie Cheesecake

$5.29

This dessert had a nice presentation and a pleasant flavor. Both the brownie and cheesecake were dense and rich. If you care about calories, it’s not something you feel good about if you eat the whole thing. There was nothing stand out about the dessert, but I enjoyed it regardless.

All in all, while not much has changed with Disney’s BoardWalk Deli, the things that have made this quick-service dining option a pleasant addition to the newly reimagined BoardWalk area that is coming to this fan favorite resort.
