Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas is one of Disney Vacation Club’s most unique resorts, featuring expansive savannas with more than 200 animals and an impressive collection of African art. The resort consists of two buildings: Jambo House and Kidani Village. DVC Members who own at Animal Kingdom Villas have home resort booking priority at both locations. Jambo House offers a mix of traditional Disney Resort hotel rooms and DVC villas, while Kidani Village is exclusively home to Disney Vacation Club villas. Guests can easily travel between the two buildings via the scenic walking path or complimentary resort shuttle. Animal Kingdom Villas opened in 2007, and DVC contracts expire on January 31, 2057.
The villas at Kidani Village were fully refurbished in 2025, featuring updated furnishings, refreshed décor, new flooring, modern finishes, and enhanced Disney touches inspired by the beauty of the African savanna. The completed refurbishment provides guests with a more contemporary feel while maintaining the rich storytelling and immersive atmosphere that make Animal Kingdom Villas one of Walt Disney World’s most popular Deluxe Resorts.
The DVC Show is a weekly podcast that discusses and reviews the experience of being a Disney Vacation Club Member.

Kidani Village has so much going for it! The extra bathroom in the One Bedroom Villas and larger is a huge plus, the splash pad is perfect for kids, and it’s the first stop on the bus route, so you’re almost always guaranteed a seat. If you’re driving, covered parking underneath the building is incredibly convenient. Plus, you get access to the amenities at both Kidani and Jambo House. And let’s be honest… it has a frickin’ savanna! – Beverly N.
I love that the Savanna View rooms at Kidani let you stay on lower floors, giving you even better opportunities to watch the animals from your balcony. It’s quiet, spotless, and home to Sanaa, one of my favorite Disney restaurants. The extra bathroom in the One and Two Bedroom Villas is a huge bonus, and there’s nothing better than relaxing while watching the animals before or after a travel day. – Kristina B.
Kidani Village is usually much easier to book at the seven month window than many other Disney Vacation Club resorts. That means you can enjoy incredible theming, amazing amenities, and unforgettable savanna views instead of settling for a resort that simply has availability. – Greg B.
We fell in love with Kidani Village because of its peaceful atmosphere, the incredible amount of space in the Two Bedroom Villas, the convenience of having three bathrooms, and the amazing savanna views. We enjoyed it so much that we eventually made it our second home resort. – Rachel R.
Kidani Village is our favorite because the buses stop there first, making it much easier to grab a seat. We also prefer the pool and water slide over Jambo House, the resort is easier to navigate, the savanna views are incredible, and it always feels quieter and less crowded. – Adam P.
The rooms are a bit darker than many other Disney Vacation Club resorts, and while the recent refurbishment helped freshen them up, the overall theme still feels more subdued. For my family, the biggest drawback is transportation. Since Animal Kingdom Lodge is served only by buses, it isn’t the best fit for how we vacation because we like to return to the resort several times throughout the day. – Blair E.
My biggest complaint is the lack of a Quick Service restaurant at Kidani Village. I also wish there were a way to refill resort mugs after the gift shop closes. – Paméla C.
Dining options at Kidani Village are somewhat limited outside of Sanaa. Depending on your room location, the walk to and from the lobby can also be quite long, especially after a full day in the parks. – Kevin W.
Some rooms are quite a hike from the lobby, especially if you’re at the far end of the building. The lack of a Quick Service restaurant is another downside, and bus transportation can occasionally be inconsistent. – Susan P.
My only real complaint is that Kidani Village could really use its own Quick Service restaurant. That said, Jambo House is an easy walk or shuttle ride away, so it’s not a deal breaker. Other than that, I absolutely love everything about the resort. – Aaron C.
