When people think of dining at Animal Kingdom Villas, many picture the restaurants at Jambo House like Boma, Jiko, and The Mara. Sanaa at Kidani Village can sometimes be overlooked, and you may not even realize that it becomes a quick service restaurant for breakfast from 7:30am to 11am. Here’s a look at Kidani Village Breakfast at Sanaa!
What’s on the Menu?
Sanaa always has wonderful dishes with bold flavors, and breakfast is no different. Among the Kuamsha Breakfast Entrees you’ll find familiar options with a twist, such as the Sanaa breakfast sandwich, which has housemade naan with an over-easy egg, Canadian bacon, cheddar cheese, and chermoula mayonnaise. There’s also a bounty platter (scrambled eggs with spice route home fries, sausage, bacon, and a cinnamon mielie cake) and an avocado toast with smoked pastrami salmon, tomato chutney, pumpkin suya, and two poached eggs. As a sweeter option, there’s banana bread French toast. The one plant-based entree is the breakfast power bowl with ancient grains, mixed greens, sweet market berries, vegan acai yogurt, and caramelized pumpkin seeds.

For little ones, there is a separate kids’ menu with an explorer platter (scrambled eggs, home fries, and fresh fruit) as well as French toast and of course, Mickey waffles.
If you want something lighter, you could also choose among the sides, such as steel-cut oats, banana bread, fruit, or pastries. Some of these pastries, such as the banana bread, croissant, and chocolate twist pastry, can also be found as grab-and-go items at Johari Treasures.
How to Order
To order breakfast from Sanaa, simply go to the My Disney Experience app and go to Order Food. Look for “Kidani Village Breakfast at Sanaa” (not “Sanaa To Go”–that’s just for lunch and dinner). The rest of the process looks just like placing a mobile order where you’ll build your order by adding entrees and any other items. Once you check out, you’ll wait for your arrival window before clicking on the “I’m here, Prepare My Order” button.

When your order is ready, head to Sanaa and follow the sign to go past the check-in desk. On the right-hand side is a table for mobile order pick-ups. You can take your food back to your room or even dine at Sanaa. There were plenty of tables with views of the savanna!
Timing
While mobile ordering is convenient, it’s worth mentioning that you do need to give yourself some time. From ordering to pick up, it took almost an hour in total with the order being ready about 50 minutes after I placed my order. If you’re in a rush to get to the parks quickly, this may not be the right option for you.
Thoughts on the Food
I ordered the short rib hash, which had spice route home fries with roasted peppers and onions, avocado crema, and braised short rib. It was delicious! The home fries had a very slight kick, and the roasted peppers and onions added a hint of sweetness to the tender braised short rib while the avocado crema brought a cool, creamy contrast. I would gladly order the short rib hash again the next time I stay at Kidani Village.

Don’t sleep on breakfast at Sanaa the next time you stay at Kidani Village!
