Disney Vacation Club is ending January with new winter incentives alongside price increases on multiple DVC properties! Let’s dive into what this means for current and prospective members!
Disney Vacation Club Direct Price Increases
Before we take any look at incentives for the coming months, it is important to note that no matter the incentive, a direct Disney Vacation Club purchase is much more expensive today than it was yesterday, thanks to some large price increases. Disney Vacation Club has increased prices on actively selling properties including The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Riviera Resort, and Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas effective from January 30, 2024.

Disneyland Hotel & Aulani
Despite the minor upward shifts in incentives, Disneyland Hotel and Aulani have remained consistent in their direct sales offers. However, it is important to note that these incentives do not fully offset the significant increase in base prices for these resorts. For instance, yesterday, new DVC Members would have paid $30,900 for 150 points at Aulani, whereas today, it would cost $33,000, resulting in a $2,100 difference. So, while the incentives may appear more enticing, they are overshadowed by the higher overall costs.

Riviera Resort
I hate to say it, but Disney’s Riviera Resort is starting to feel more and more like the Aulani of Walt Disney World. With a significant price increase and decreased incentives since the holidays, it seems like Disney Vacation Club is in no rush to sell this resort. And maybe that’s not a bad thing for them? Perhaps they are making more money by selling a large portion of this resort for cash instead of moving more points with DVC? To put it in perspective, 150 points direct for new members at Riviera now costs $32,700 compared to $31,350 just yesterday. Knowing this, I would expect Disney Vacation Club to heavily promote sales of The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, hoping that it will account for the majority of direct sales in the coming months.

Initial Member Add-On Incentives for NEW Fort Wilderness Cabins
After much anticipation and speculation, DVC has announced the initial incentives for add-on purchases at The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. With the lowest per-point savings and incentives compared to other properties in this round of Winter DVC offers it seems that DVC is not offering as much value for new additions to The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. This may cause some members to reconsider their options when it comes to purchasing additional points at this particular property. The move also could be strategic as they look to attract new buyers who have historically stayed at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.
