A lot can change in just 24 hours. Yesterday, we had four properties actively selling with Disney Vacation Club, and today, we have one less. The Grand Floridian is no longer for sale, leaving us with Disneyland Hotel, Aulani, and Riviera as the three actively selling resorts. Each of these resorts has had its share of ups and downs when it comes to public perception and direct sales, making the landscape of purchasing a Disney Vacation Club membership an interesting one.
One might think that heading into what is arguably one of the best sales seasons of the year, incentives for these resorts may become very attractive. However, the exact opposite has occurred. Disneyland Hotel and Aulani have remained essentially unchanged for direct sales incentives through January 29th, 2024. Riviera, on the other hand, has actually decreased their incentives, making the property more expensive. Disneyland Hotel & Aulani
Despite the changes in the DVC landscape, Disneyland Hotel and Aulani have held steady with their direct sales incentives this round. It seems that Disney has confidence in the appeal of these timeless resorts, even without significant sales promotions.

Riviera Resort
Recently overshadowed by the Grand Floridian, Disney’s Riviera Resort will now be the premier Disney Vacation Club property again at Walt Disney World. The resort will need to primarily drive sales until the Polynesian DVC Tower or Fort Wilderness Cabins begin sales in likely late spring. That said, Riviera has seen a decrease in incentives this quarter, with DVC looking to make more money per point versus increasing the volume of points sold. This move might seem counterintuitive, especially considering its mixed popularity, coupled with resale restrictions. However, it’s clear that Disney believes they can sell the allure of the Riviera – with its luxurious accommodations, top-notch dining, and convenient access to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios to vacationers this holiday season.
Riviera Resort Member Add-On Incentives
Disney’s Riviera Resort saw an increase in most incentives for the Holiday 2023 period. Existing DVC Members can receive the following deals when adding on at Riviera through January 29th:
