The long-anticipated DVC lounge coming to the Magic Kingdom received a name and opening timeline today! McKim’s Mile House—A Member Lounge is officially confirmed to open by summer 2025, and DVC just shared all the latest details with us.
Located in the heart of Frontierland at Magic Kingdom, this new lounge promises to be a welcoming retreat for Members to relax, recharge, and make memories.
Rustic Charm Meets Modern Comfort
As soon as you step into McKim’s Mile House, you’ll be immersed in a space inspired by the adventurous spirit of exploration from a bygone era. With its rustic charm, the lounge will transport you back to the days of pioneers and trailblazers, all while offering the modern conveniences we’ve come to expect from Disney Vacation Club.

What to Expect Inside
Here are some of the highlights you can look forward to:
- Comfortable seating perfect for kicking back between rides.
- Complimentary soft drinks to keep you refreshed throughout your day.
- A children’s entertainment area, ensuring the little ones are entertained while you take a breather.
- Wi-Fi for staying connected or sharing your magical moments online.
- Charging cords available upon request, so you’ll never have to worry about a drained battery.
Whether you’re escaping the midday Florida heat or taking a moment to unwind, this space is designed to feel like home.
Key Details to Know
As with other Member Lounges, there are some important policies to keep in mind:
- You’ll need a valid Membership Card and photo ID to check in, and the name on both must match.
- Members can bring up to four Guests per Membership Card or the number of Guests on their Resort reservation.
- Theme park admission is required for entry and is not included with Membership Extras.
- Strollers must be parked outside, and children cannot be left unattended in the lounge.
Our Thoughts on the Upcoming Lounge
While we still don’t have an official opening date or hours of operation, it’s exciting to know that this project is moving forward quickly and will be ready to welcome Members by next summer. Having a retreat right in the heart of Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland feels like a dream come true. It’s not just about escaping the heat or recharging devices—it’s about having a dedicated space to relax and connect with fellow Members.
I also love how McKim’s Mile House aligns with DVC’s trend of expanding its offerings. From the Gateway to Discovery Lounge at Disney Springs to the refreshed ImaginAtrium Lounge at EPCOT, it’s clear that Disney is listening to what Members want and delivering experiences that enhance our time in the parks.
As we count down to the opening of McKim’s Mile House, we’ll be keeping a close eye on any new developments. Be sure to check back here on DVCFan.com and join the conversation in the DVC Fan Facebook Group. We can’t wait to hear what you think about this exciting new addition to the Disney Vacation Club experience!
