Online Bookings Now Open for the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Resort!

Online bookings are officially open for the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows! Starting today, Tuesday, November 19th, eligible Members can secure their spot in this highly anticipated new addition to Disney’s Polynesian Resort.

How to Book

Members have two convenient ways to book their stay:

  • Online at DisneyVacationClub.com – Log in to your account and search for availability at the Island Tower.
  • Call DVC Member Services – Speak directly with a Cast Member to check dates and secure your reservation.

Be sure to have your Membership ID and desired travel dates ready, as availability is expected to fill up quickly for this beautiful new destination.

Initial Availability Thoughts

We will update throughout the day with what we see in terms of initial booking availability. However, at the time of writing this article at 8:09am, the website was so overloaded that a virtual queue had been enabled to get onto the site to check availability. It seems the excitement for the Island Tower is already creating quite a buzz and as expected a few technological headaches.

As of about 9am, the most consistent pattern we’ve seen emerging with availability is that people are grabbing up the standard view rooms first. If you are a “pointmiser” like myself (which most members are) this makes sense. Many are trying to stay in the new tower while bringing down the cost per point the best they can. I think long-term we will see something very similar to Grand Floridian and Riviera here where the more premium room category typically holds availability the longest due to the higher point cost, and the cheaper rooms become very competitive.

What Makes the Island Tower Special?

The Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Resort introduces an elevated level of luxury and magic to the iconic South Pacific-inspired property. With breathtaking views of Seven Seas Lagoon, exclusive Duo Studios, and the convenience of The Cove Pool and Wailulu Bar & Grill, this new addition perfectly blends modern comfort with Polynesian charm.

The Island Tower also offers:

  • Spacious Villas perfect for families and groups.
  • Stunning tropical garden terraces and unique balcony designs.
  • Easy access to Magic Kingdom and the monorail.

Tips for Booking Success

  • Plan Ahead: Popular dates, especially holidays and peak seasons, are likely to book up fast.
  • Be Flexible: If your first-choice dates aren’t available, consider adjusting your travel plans slightly.
  • Call or Login Early: If you prefer booking through Member Services, start calling as soon as the lines open to avoid long wait times.

I booked using cash a few weeks ago. It wasn’t cheap, but it guaranteed I would get in. It was just a quick three night stay to check out the place anyway.
